Any room on that band wagon for me?
Every moment I leave my house I feel like I am being tossed into the dark ages. It’s not because of how many poor are in san francisco, but rather because my phone is dinky and unsatisfying. What if I need to know something important, information only answered online. Or what about the pointless inner banter I have in my head swarming around, shits gotta get answered somehow.
Why am I turning my back on my phone? There are reasons beyond the superficial for sure. No battory life, no Internet, prone to dropped calls. I need something that could fit my needs, moreover help me to be both more productive and expansive. Getting a smart phone would be a viable option. But which so I get and how to keep myself from getting hosed by pointless charges? A viable solution would to get an iphone. It would eliminate my car GPS, my phone and my first gen itouch I love so dearly. Wallet, keys, superphone could life get simpler?
It sounds promising if not for the obvious: virtual keys, expense, a wait (if I’m going to get an iPhone I’m going to wait for the up and coming v3). That’s a wait till atleast July. Gross.
The only thing else on the market that remotely strikes my interest is the Black Berry Bold 9000. I’ll admit I like how this phone looks and feels. I could see myself constantly interrupting productive people around the office, to update them in the middle of the week on how my weekend went, talk about my vintage wood speed boat, passivly making everyone feel stupid about boats by over describing the difference between wood and fiberglass. I would then be like, “hold on” ………… (fiddling with the Black Berry)……….”sorry that was my masseuse, back to my important story”.
The keyboard works really well for me but the lack of applications on it makes me wince. I supposed that’s what you get when you settle for a phone made for corperate bigwigs. I’m not even sure if it would work well for blogging, is there a Tumblr app? And how good is it with music? Le sigh.
