It is not often that I actually find myself truely comfortable at a Mexican grub hub outside the mission district. But now that I have seen the light, I don’t think I’ll go back.
The ingredients are fresh and locally grown. The meats are Pretty good, it seems to vary depending on the day, and how far from opening you are.
Mission style taquerias are good and very similar to the food you get in TIjuana, but Chilayo is much more organic, inspired by the warmth of the countryside.
