Super Mario Brussel Sprouts 64!

For those people who were born under a rock. The scraggly, Sketchers wearing, silver haired, monolith of a man in the picture above is none other than the famous voice actor Charles Martinet. He is the voice of Super Mario and the Cat in the Hat. I bumped into him while shopping for a quick snack in Sausalito’s incredibly overpriced Mollie Stone’s.

Not too suprising is that he had no clue who I was, even though we conversed a bunch of years ago through email about the wonders of voice acting.

He seems pretty down to earth. I asked him passivly if he “bought any of the brussel sprouts that are on sale?”

He threw his hands up, and quickly quipped in a psudo Super Mario tone, “I was hoping my wife wouldn’t notice them, I prefer da beets!”
