I’m def frustrated with the capabilities of developer based applications for iPad. <br/><br/><b>The Concept:</b> <br/><br/> Tan Scale - and optional flapjack timer. Web-app/website for mobile devices. <br/><br/><b>Purpose:</b> <br/><br/> To demystify tanning, health factors, and to take a neutral stance on being in the sun. It’s just as unhealthy to never get sun as it is to get too much of it. Hopefully this can educate people, and be a fun app to use. Possible platform could also be inputted into marketing for Banana Boat, sandals, or other businesses pertaining beach related activities. <br/><br/><b>User Experience:</b> <br/><br/> Visit site on your Internet ready phone or computer to see if you are pale, tan, too tan, or leathery based on what your natural color is. <br/><br/> Natural color is determined by taking a pale area on you body and finding the natural color swatch to match it. <br/><br/> As you tan, you can flip through the second set of swatches. Varience between the original swatch and you tan swatch will tell you are tan (for the <strike>tantarded</strike>, <strike>tanorexics</strike>, those who go to far) and if it’s unhealthy to keep tanning. <br/><br/> The optional flapjack timer let’s you know when to flip over and drink water so you don’t fry in the sun. (15min /15min /25min /25min /45min /45min /60min /60min), notifications can be set up through automated email to texts. Input you cell number and tell the length you were planning on tanning for. Automation finds the best gaps of time to tan so not by to not get burned, then texts you when to turn.. <br/><br/> Optional info on the best practices to retain a good tan, and how to treat a sun burn. <br/> ——— <br/> Options for app based devices: Twitter/facebook update of how many shades darker “My tan is # shades darker, be jealous.” Auto swatch finder using camera on smart phone.
